Football Quiz
Renaissance kicked off this year’s activities by organizing ‘Vuvuzela 2010’, a football quiz which was held during the FIFA Worldcup 2010. Participants were divided into 8 different groups and were put to complete against each other in a virtual football atmosphere 1st , 2nd , 3rd prizes were given to the winners, runners up and 2rd runnersup.

Interactive Session on Healthcare
Renaissance, in association with the Rotary Club of Angamaly, organized an interactive session on ‘Diet Control and Diabetes’. Dr. Dorphy .P.D spoke on calories. Weight issues, obesity and reasons for the increasing number of Diabetes patients in India. The programme was held in the College Seminar Hall.

Photo Exhibition and Caption Competition
Renaissance conducted a photo exhibition ‘Reflections 2011’. Photographs taken by Amal Bharathan, an alumnus of Sree Sankara College and a Renaissance member himself, was exhibited along with the photographs of his fellow photographers Abhilash Chemmanur, Prasanth Chandran. A caption competition was held on the same day.

Renaissance Day and Farewell Swing
Renaissance celebrated the renaissance Day on the 26th of January 2011. Old members of renaissance shared their experiences with the curre nt members. The same evening , a send-off was given to the outgoing members of Renaissance.

Release of ‘Signature Vol.1’ and Launching of’Noon Interval’
Priyanandanan, the national winning director of ‘ Pulijanmam’, a collection of all the short films and documentaries taken by Renaissance till date. On the same day, the latest short film of Renaissance ‘Noon Interval’ was launched by the director himself. Students has an interactive session with the director, where he spoke on the various aspects of film making. The programme was truly an enlightening experience to all those who participated.

Trip to Kudajadri
Renaissance members, old and new, went for a trip to Kudajadri in the month of March 2011. The team led by Dr. C.K Sujeesh, climbed the Kudajadri hill and went up till the Sarvatnyapeetham. It was a 2 day trip conducted by Renaissance, and was the last of ots venture for this academic year.
